bakers dozen.

I was at westfarms mall yesterday with V and we walked into a store called Bakers, just to check it out. It was pretty sweet. They had gorgeous shoes (for great prices) not to mention a lot of hot handbags (on sale). All around a really great store...especially if your style is a bit on the edgy side. I got this bag that was originally almost $80 , for $23. Check it...It's freakin' huge! They also have it in black with gold studs, which was also supercool. So all in all I heart Bakers. You should too.

smashing teacups to smithereens...

i want to have a tea party. like pink cupcakes, chocolate strawberries, marie antoinette style. pastel cookies, fancy teacups that don't match whatsoever, victorian dresses, and white cotton candy hair with huge butterflies stuck in it. boys dressed in tights with coat tails, and buckels on their shoes...little finger sandwiches (which, by the way is a very strange word that I couldn't remember how to spell because it looked odd.)

It's Blitz!

Zero is the first single out from the Yeah yeah yeahs off their new album It's Blitz!...which is completely amazing, therefore it hasn't left my cd player since I've put it in. They have quickly become my favorite band, especially following this cd .
It's Blitz! is very different from the YYYs previous albums in that it's more dance, more defined and less raw, less banshee scream more melody. Which was scary at first because the rawness of Karen O's voice and the music is really what made me love the band. Their new sound though, is just as good and just as unique. The lyrics are complete poetry and Karen definitely "sings" more in this album. She sings Hysteric, a completely sweet song that seems like love, to the song Heads Will Roll, where the chorus rings "off with your head, dance until you're dead, heads will roll...on the floor."
I guess there's a special edition, that I have, where the cd comes with acoustic versions of Hysteric, Little Shadow, Skeletons, and Soft Shock. Definitely worth the few extra dollars...these versions are beautiful. I'll have to talk about Karen O in a fashion sense next time because she's rad...but check out this album for sure, it's rediculous.

myne summer.

The summer line involves more vibrant colors like reds,pinks, yellows, and blues with more lines and stripes for pattern. There is one top with lace on the upper half that is gorgeous and I'm definitely in love with it. Myne is simple and clean without being boring. That's what I really like about this designer. <3

Sooo...I just looked at the NYLON site and came across this really great designer that I loved last season and REALLY love this season. The line is called Myne, and the spring and summer looks are both really hot! The spring line is pretty casual with chill muted colors. It's still really trendy with the higher waist lines and over sized tops, some of my favorite looks...

If money doesn't bring happiness...and happiness is fulfillment in life...then what causes fulfillment? Trying your hardest? Reaching your goals? Living your dreams? What if they seem to far away to touch? Would you keep going no matter what?
I can't believe I almost actually settled for this hum drum life in this half gray place. I guess it takes someone who really cares about you and has similar aspirations to give you that little bit of encouragment. A late night talk in your car. A new focus to your angle...anything is possible? I wish, I hope...means nothing unless there's the motivation behind all the dreaming.
I always thought that being happy with what you do to make a living was very important in living a rad life.
I just want to be able to say goodbye to half gray...something is going to happen, things are going to change, and there's no need to be sad about what you're not doing.
